Hey guys! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I am really excited about this post because I've been waiting for this device since I pre-ordered it. I've gotten a chance to play with it a bit this week and because it's Officially out Oct. 17th in the US I thought I'd wait till today to post this. As you all already know, Apple has recently entered into the Phablet frenzy with the new iPhone 6 plus. This however is not Samsung's first rodeo. They've been in the phablet business since 2011 with the release of the 5.3 inch Samsung Note. They've had a 3+ year head start over apple and I am not disappointed one bit. SO! Lets get right into specifications!

So I've had my Note 4 for about a week now and the first thing I have to talk about is the beautiful QHD screen. I've been saying it all week but everything looks a lot better on my screen. I've been watching more videos, playing more games, even pictures from other social media websites look a lot better then they did on my Galaxy S4.  So far my phone has been running like butter thanks to that Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB RAM. The S-Pen was a little weird to get used to at first as I was not familiar with using any sort of stylus. I went to a lecture Tuesday night and was too excited to use my s-pen to take notes. It really does feel like touching pencil on paper when using the stylus. It's to crazy but I love it! In fact I think my penmanship actually looks better on the note 4 then it does in reality.
(Make sure to watch in HD)

I was running rooted Galaxy S4 and the ROM I was running was giving me issues with Watch On application yet my xbox glass app was able to change the channels and switch between applications on my xbox one. The Smart Remote is like a gift from above! You're able to control both the television set and the cable box so forget about looking for that lost remote control. Some people complain about the battery life but I think the battery life is great on this device. I charge my Note once a day for about 30-45 minutes before bed and by the time I get off of work I'm anywhere between 48-65%. I also read about people having issues with finger print scanner but I have my left index, left thumb, and right thumb registered and takes anywhere between 1-3 tries before getting it right. I usually try to unlock the device one handed which makes it difficult, so I bet if I were to use two hands I'd only need 2 tries max.

The Note 4 size did not increase compared to it's previous version the Note 3.  It's funny because just a week of using my new phone I've gotten adjusted to it's size. I was using my G4 to take some pictures (check them out below) and when switching back and forth it almost felt like holding an iPhone 5s (or below) after first getting my S4. Of course the size of G4 and Note 4 is not as big of a difference than comparing any 5S and below to a S4.  I am able to comfortably use it using 1 hand thanks to the one handed operation function which pulls the menu/home/bscl putton to either side od the screen.  I don't know how this whole #GapGate even became a problem, I guess because I always have my phone in a case it doesn't bother me. The overall design itself is so sleek and perfect. It's almost a fear to hold the phone without a case, it's so glossy and perfect I'm afraid it may slip out of my hands. The case I decided to go with was the Spigen Slim Armor Case from Amazon for $16.99 and it looks great! It even has a built in kick stand on the back which is really handy for watching videos.

I'm still working on managing my time better, I am hoping my new Note 4 helps me get things done more efficiently. I'll post an add on to this with more pictures and some additional video recordings. I'm basically stuck at work / have a few hours at home during the week. I'll definitely be using my Note 4 to take pictures of this weekends hike!
